Lesley's Journey

Librarian Adventures

Lesley Zavediuk has spent over a decade working in library services, technology implementation, and library staff training. Additionally, she’s always managed to wrangle content writing and editing into those other job duties. From newsletters to slide shows, Lesley has always enjoyed those aspects of her job.

It makes sense that a librarian with this sort of experience would want to embark further into the digital landscape by pursuing digital communications. This website is meant to detail her journey and help others who might be looking for a similar career change.

My Digital Goals

  1. Put together a stronger digital portfolio that really shows off the web content, campaigns, and training projects I’ve already done.

  2. Get more comfortable with analytics tools so I can quickly spot what’s working online and make smarter decisions based on the data.

  3. Improve my digital writing skills, especially short-form content and user-friendly messaging that works well across different platforms.

  4. Try out more outreach and engagement strategies—like small campaigns, webinars, or email series—to build a solid range of real examples.

  5. Learn more about digital accessibility so anything I create is clear, usable, and genuinely inclusive for all users.
